Aimed squarely at the six-and-under crowd, this popular mini-museum and shopping zone is devoted to the cartoon-pastry hero and his many plush and collectible friends. The second and third floors of the building house the actual museum, which includes a large play area, while the ground floor is filled with fourteen different shops selling toys and goods.
In addition to all the character-themed goods you could possibly imagine, there's also a cafe-bakery selling Anpanman-themed baked goods and a full-fledged restaurant. Admission is free for ground-floor shops, and the main reason to fork over Y2,200 for the museum entrance fee is the live-action theater, which puts on shows throughout the day.
Tickets to the museum need to be reserved in advance - check their website for details. The ground-floor shops are open until 6pm, and the museum is open until 5pm, with last entry at 4pm.
