This small literary museum is devoted to Meiji-era novelist, translator, critic and physician Ogai Mori (1862-1922). The attractively appointed museum building was constructed in 2012 on the site of Mori's former residence near Sendagi station. The permanent collection contains handwritten manuscripts, letters and postcards, and it may be of interest to scholars and fans of his work.

The site includes a library, a lecture room, a video room (showing Japanese-language videos with Japanese subtitles), and a cafe. In recognition of Mori's numerous translations of German literary works, the cafe offers light German-style snacks featuring pretzels and cold meats, and you can find bottles of German wine in the gift shop. The museum also offers film showings and classes in calligraphy and ikebana (all in Japanese).
