Nyankoto has some of the prettiest cats in town - all thirteen of the residents have impressive pedigrees, and the two frisky Exotic Shorthair kittens were especially cute. The little booklet introducing the cats by name also listed three Munchkins, a Selkirk Rex, a Kinkalow, a Lambkin, a Ragamuffin, a Himalayan and an American Curl, among others. In comparison, the lone Persian seemed as commonplace as an alleycat.
The cats here are also among the liveliest we've encountered - one extra-friendly fellow actually managed to jump on our shoulder while we were putting our bag in a locker. The pen we were using to take notes with provided endless amusement whenever it was knocked to the floor, and the mirrored base of our table was another popular source of entertainment.
