Wakamatsu-Kawada / Retail
Open 10am-7pm. Closed Mondays.
The main draw at this long-running folk craft store is probably their extensive selection of pottery - dishes, bowls and other tableware in various styles and price ranges - as well as a smaller selection of bamboo and lacquerware for the table.
The upper two floors of the five-level shop specialize in clothing and textiles, including blouses, shirts, scarves and work clothes, tablecloths and cushions, and fabrics and threads. Traditional toys and dolls and a range of paper crafts round out the collection.
The shop is closed on Mondays and various irregular holidays, so check their website before you make the trip.
