[Update: the museum is scheduled to reopen in March, 2024.] The focus here is primarily on twentieth-century modern art, with works by Dali, Picasso, Cezanne and Magritte as well as notable Japanese artists. Several special exhibitions are held each year. The museum building was designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Kenzo Tange and completed in 1989.
