Run by the Tokyo metropolitan government, this first-rate museum showcases both Japanese and international photographers. Around twenty exhibitions a year are held in the museum's three gallery spaces. A branch of Nadiff bookstore, located on the building's second floor, sells art books, postcards, tote bags, t-shirts and other items of interest to art lovers.

Down on the ground floor the Maison Ichi bakery-cafe is open from 10am-8pm and serves coffee and pastries during the day, quiche and croque madame sandwiches for lunch, and charcuterie, deli items and drinks at dinnertime.
